Rund zehn kurze Filme verschiedener Genre bringen die Themen Nachhaltigkeit, sauberes Wasser, Ernährung und Landwirtschaft auf unterschiedlichste Weise auf die Leinwand. An diesem Abend ist von ausgewählten Animationen und Gedichten bis zu Dokumentar- und Spielfilmen alles zu sehen – mit anschließender Preisverleihung.

The Flounder Flyndre by Ole Christoffer Haga, Norway, 10min, no dialogue

Everything falls apart for a happy seagull family the day a golden flounder offers access to black gold.

Flyndre is a short film about love, petromania and the sixth extinction. One day a fisherman, Mr. Seagull, catches a golden flounder which offers him a handy little oil drilling rig. This provides him access to great wealth, but blinded by all the fun Mr. Seagull gets reckless and neglects his responsibility towards work and family. With funny gags and absurd humor „Flounder“ deals with serious issues around carbonindustry and the increase in peoples consumption and wealth.

Insects are one discussed possibility, although today it is nearly unthinkable in the western world to eat insects as part of the regular diet.
