We are very happy to be awarded with 1000€ by Solidarenergie e.V.. The award ceremony took place on April 5, 2016 at Vorderhaus in the Fabrik. It was a cheerful evening with good music, many fascinating projects and time for networking.
Solidarenergie e.V. supports social and cultural projects. The association looks for companies, private persons, or institutions that would like to rent their roofs to the EWS (Elektrizitätswerke Schönau), a clean power production company. EWS installs photovoltaic cell systems on the rented rooftops where the produced energy is completely supplied to the grid. The income is being spent on social and cultural engagement in the region of Freiburg.

The main prize winners of this year are actress Petra Gack and musician Mike Schweizer. The endowed prize is 3000 € and the usufruct of a vinery in Kaiserstuhl. 10 other groups were also awarded for their voluntary engagement.
