Bernward Janzing

Bernward Janzing, a journalist and book author based in Freiburg, holds degrees in Geosciences and Biology. After a career at Badische Zeitung, he now operates as a self-employed writer. His expertise spans over three decades, during which he has passionately written environmental topics, with a primary focus on energy and climate protection.

Sigrid Faltin

Sigrid Faltin is a versatile talent who holds academic credentials in English and German Language, Literature, and Modern History, culminating in a PhD focused on “Emigration from the Palatinate to North America.” Following journalism training, she served as a regional correspondent at SWF in Freiburg. Her acclaimed works, including the recent documentary on violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter, have garnered international acclaim and prestigious awards.

Nina Bärmann

Nina Bärmann is a film editor and producer from Ukraine. She has lived in Germany for almost 20 years. She studied international marketing at the Kiev National Taras Shevchenko University, MiBA at the University of Hamburg, completed further training in cinematography at the HFF Munich and studied editing at the BAF – Bavarian Academy for Television. She edits various films, mainly in the documentary sector, for channels such as ARD, SWR, Arte, 3sat, BR, ZDF etc. as well as scenic TV series. Her films have been shown at various international film festivals, and her film “Beyond the White”, was nominated for the German Camera Award.

Jaume Gil I Llopart

Jaume Gil I Llopart embarked on his film and entertainment career in 1989, armed with a degree in film and television production from IDEP Barcelona. His journey led him to produce the “5th International Film Festival of the Environment” (FICMA) from 1998 to 2001. In 2002, he assumed the directorship of the “Mostra Lambda de Barcelona Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.” Over the years, he has also worked as a scriptwriter for some TV series and film productions. In 2006, Jaume played a pivotal role in establishing FICTGAY in Mexico City, fostering cultural exchange between Mexico and Spain. His return to FICMA in 2005, now known as SUNCINE, marked a significant chapter. Presently, Jaume dedicates his efforts entirely to SUNCINE and has expanded its reach by introducing the festival in Mexico.
