    German-French Cinema for Children

This week, Greenmotions-Kids made another appearance during the year – this time in a daycare center. In the École 92 we showed films from this year’s programme. The children were able to learn something about a careful treatment of the environment in a playful setting.

Despite the fact that our festival is still many months away, the Greenmotions-Kids-team was active once again this week in a very special event. We visited the German-French daycare center École 92 in southern Freiburg and showed a selection of movies from our festival to the oldest group of children. The topics of the movies ranged from a healthy diet to climate protection and mindful interactions with nature. As always, a main emphasis of the programme was also that the kids had fun. Because of our audience, we could even show a show film from our shorts-programme with french dialogue.
We are very thankful to the École 92 and the filmmakers for giving us the opportunity to show the movies and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Fun and Awe at the Greenmotions-Kids-Program

This year we had another special screening for our very young guests during our festival. Our short film programme for kids gave our young audience an opportunity to learn something about the environment and sustainability with the help of short films for a young audience from all over the world.

Last weekend we opened the doors of the KoKi-Cinema to children two times. The roughly one-hour long programme was centered around our interactions with the environment and a more sustainable way of life that can already be started at a very young age. Anne and Laura of the Greenmotions team led accompanied our around 30 little guests through five colourful short films. In between the films, the kids had the chance to share their thoughts and expand on what they’ve learned through games and questions. Though the emphasis was always on having fun.

After the movies, the kids had the chance to vote for the movie they liked the best, hereby choosing the winner of this year’s short film for kids prize. In a close race, Eva Matejovičova’s film “Writing Home” got the most votes and took home our award. Congratulations! We look forward to seeing some of you again next year during the festival, or maybe at one of our other events during the year.

  • Introducing: The Greenmotions Festival Pass

    Introducing: The Greenmotions Festival Pass

With the introduction of our solidary pricing system comes another surprise: The Greenmotions Festival Pass.
With your Festival Pass, you can watch as many movies as you want during the festival. To get a your pass, just choose the option “Festival Pass regular” at checkout when purchasing a ticket. The pass costs 20.00€ and can be bought online or at the cinema’s box office. At the first screening you visit, you will get your physical pass, that you can then bring to the other screenings. For all further screenings, you can show up spontaneously or reserve a seat beforehand via telephone, at the cinema counter.

And don’t worry, if you have already bought tickets, you can still get a festival pass. In that case, we will subtract the price of the tickets you’ve already bought from the festival pass cost.
We are excited to finally see you at the KoKi next week – some of you, hopefully, more than once.
