Our missions

We use film as a catalyst – We believe that film and culture are powerful drivers of dialogue. By curating and screening eco‑focused films that ignite conversation and enriching them with panels, workshops and Q&A sessions, we aim to deepen our understanding of environmental issues, sustainability and just transitions.

We activate change makers – With our screenings, we encourage the sharing of concrete ideas and resources by experts but also our audience. We show pathways to action and enable participants to make a real impact locally and globally.

We amplify the regional community and civic network – Our festival also functions as a networking platform for NGOs, cultural groups, filmmakers and citizens in Freiburg and beyond. With year‑round screenings in partnership with various local partners we also extend our reach beyond the festival.

Together, we aim to transform audiovisual storytelling into a tool for education and community building encouraging collective action toward a fair, resilient future.
