In Venezuela the healthcare system hangs on by a thread. For pregnant women going into labour, that often means having to bring their own medical supplies in order to be admitted into hospitals. “The Cord” follows Carolina Leal, who runs an organisation to help mothers and newborns get medical supplies and access to hospitals.
