How Deep Is Your Love

“How Deep Is Your Love” takes us on a journey to one of the last remaining places on the planet humans have never visited. Filmmaker Eleanor Mortimer joins a group of biologists on a 7-week-long expedition in the pacific ocean where they search for life on the deep-sea floor.

This poetic journey uncovers wonders of the deep sea while also raising questions about humanity’s role on the planet and the limits of human understanding. Both Film and scientists now also have to balance the subject of deep-sea mining. The mining, called for by companies, the US-Government and others, poses the greatest threat to one of earth’s most mysterious habitats thousands of meters below the ocean surface and the countless undiscovered species living there.
