From the 9th to the 13th of November, the eighth edition of the Greenmotions Film Festival took place at the municipal cinema at the Alter Wiehrebahnhof in Freiburg this year. We showed inspiring films covering different topics around sustainability, often accompanied by live discussions or video interviews with filmmakers, offered an exciting workshop and a delicious food-saving buffet. All in all, we were able to welcome 559 visitors over five days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the 8th Greenmotions Film Festival we placed special emphasis on the topic \u201cWomen \u2013 Environment \u2013 Activism\u201d. In this category, „The Ants and the Grasshopper“ by Raj Patel & Zak Piper and „Mama Irene\u00a0 \u2013 Healer of the Andes“ by Elisabeth M\u00f6hlmann & Bettina Ehrhardt shared our main award. The audience award went to the movie „Die Stangenbohnenpartei“ by Patti Schmidt. Our short films jury crowned „Sad Beauty“ by Arjen Bentrjes as this year’s winner and „Das Kleinod“ by local director Sarah Moll received a special mention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
