Festival 2024 – thank you for your visit and see you next year!
Dear visitors of the Greenmotions Film Festival!
This year’s edition was a complete success with a total of around 1,360 visitors to the Kommunales Kino and the accompanying events in the days and weeks leading up to the festival! We are still overwhelmed and delighted by the lively interest, the positive feedback and the inspiring energy of change that accompanied us through the festival days and all event formats. Once again, we would like to thank all our sponsors and partners who made the event possible through their diverse contributions, as well as the filmmakers who made their moving works available to us and gave us so much of their time for inspiring discussions after the film. We would also like to thank our great team of volunteers who worked diligently and reliably behind the scenes during the festival to ensure that everything ran smoothly. Last but not least, we would of course like to thank everyone who attended the festival, because without you there would be no point and certainly no fun! We hope to see as many of you as possible again next year at the next edition of the Greenmotions Film Festival! If you feel motivated to become an active part of the festival, we cordially invite you to become part of our organizing team. Please feel free to contact us at coordination[at]greenmotions-filmfestival.de!
Note: Unfortunately, we lost a lot of our website content, design and structure a few days ago. Bear with us if it looks all a bit funky sometimes: we do not have the time capacity to re-do the website completely. If you happen to be a web-developer looking for a volunteer project: your help will be most appreciated from January on to build a whole new website!

About Us
Starting under the name Greenstorming in 2014, the festival was forst organised by students of the Renewable Energy Management Masters of the University of Freiburg. Quickly after that, volunteers from other fields joined the team and carried on the work and the non-profit association Greenmotions was founded.
Whether coming from the sustainibility field, filmmaking, or other paths of life, team members of the organisation team all share a passion for showing films that can inspire people to take action to build a sustainable future! The festival and our other screenings are the opportuniy for us to creating dilaogue spaces and connecting people with different initiatives.
To all volunteers that have made and continue to make Greenmotions what it is, we say thank you!!
Sponsors and partners
Our work would not be possible without the collaboration with and support of our partners, funders and sponsors. A big thank you to all of you!
